Kaleidoscope Gallery & Emporium, 122 N. Patterson St – a wonderful, eclectic collection with a southern touch! It is filled with a wonderful eclectic collection of antiques, vintage, decor and fine art works done by local, regional and national artists.Artists on Ashley, 203 N. Ashley St – an art gallery featuring paintings, drawings, and pottery of local artists- Jeanne Cowart, Annette Crosby, Ellen Dewar, Walter Hobbs, Deb House, and Pam Scruggs
12:00 PM Take a lunch break at the Blue Café, 125 N Patterson
For a casual option, choose the Bleu Café for lunch. It’s classy, and yet not snooty. Bleu cafe does a brilliant job of classing up fare such as nachos, pizzas and tacos. Always a great choice is their Margherita Pizza.
1:30-5:30 PM Enjoy browsing Valdosta’s downtown shops
Art and Soul, 115 W Central – a cute little furniture, art, and design store. This place is full of unique finds that speak to your soul. . Urban Garden 102 N Ashley – a unique open air plant market. Livi & Co, 100 North Ashley Street – an eclectic shop with great selections from vegan soap to gourmet food items.
If you need a little break in the afternoon, a good place to stop is Get Hooked on Nutrition, 121 N Patterson. You can get a refreshing drink and if you need it, a little nosh.
5:30 PM Happy Hour and dinner at the Bistro, 120 N Ashley
Come see for yourself why The Bistro Happy Hour is the best in Valdosta. Wednesday through Saturday from 5 pm to 6 pm you can get 1/2 priced appetizers, house cocktails, wine by the glass and bottled beer.
Then stay for dinner. The Bistro is a fine dining restaurant, famous for many of their original menu items like the Drunken Angus Steak, Sesame Encrusted Tuna, and Grilled Diver Scallops (featured in Southern Living Magazine.) The wine selection is one of the largest available in South Georgia.
8 PM Take in a show at the ‘Dosta Playhouse, 122 N Ashley St
Each year the Theatre Guild Valdosta presents a season of plays with the possibility of romance, mystery, and comedy, classic songs, timeless suspense, and unforgettable laughter. Plan to come and see one or all of these great shows at the Historic ‘Dosta Playhouse, a renovated Depression-era movie theatre.
